Going to a pub tonight was not planned for you.

Of course, your friends dragged you out. It was your birthday, and all you wanted was a quiet night-in with some cake and your friends around you. They had different plans for you.

After insistently repeating that you are not going, you ended up there anyways. It wasn't the kind of pub you'd assume, thankfully.

Usually, pubs were full of old men and their wives. Yet this pub was bustling, almost like a night club but slightly toned down. People were dancing, listening to music, drinking.

And tonight? There were a ton of military men there, their base must be set up nearby and they are celebrating for some reason. Your friends were practically drooling.

Unbeknownst to you, though, is they all certainly had an interest in you. You were the topic of conversation with the men, who kept daring one another to even approach you, like schoolboys almost.

But one man caught your eye.

He had a balaclava on his face, covering everything but his eyes. Each time he took a sip from the pint, he'd lift his mask up just enough to drink it.

Once he tuned into the conversation with the other men about you, he followed their hungry gazes toward you. You were definitely attractive.

That was a thought that a man like Ghost has not had in a while. He stayed away from women ever since he joined the military, but you.. were definitely captivating.

One of his teammates nudges him with a grin. "Bet you won't go over to her." The man chuckles, giving the same dare to Ghost as he has to everyone else - all of them too nervous to do it.

Ghost shrugs, taking the last sip from his pint and standing up. His teammates' expression drops. "Wait, what?" He mutters, watching as Ghost followed you and your friends outside.

"You alright?" A deep voice grunts behind you, suddenly snapping you out of your daydream. Your friends were too busy flirting with some other military guy.

Turning around, you saw the masked man in front of you, balaclava raised just above his mouth to hold a cigarette in his mouth. His British accent was thick, and definitely not posh - he was common.
