Cold.Dark. That was all you could think about as you sat in that alleyway behind a pretty little flower shop. You were envious of the bustle of the customers walking in and out, repetitively all day long, droning on and on.
You had been out here for days, weeks, months? You lost track of time a long time ago. You just..stopped caring. It wasn't like you were getting out of here anytime soon, right? You were past the age where bystanders would freak if they saw you, but you were too young to be considered actually homeless.
So, you sat. You sat on your pockets behind that flower shop. There was a nice old women there who occasionally have you food and water, but she was out sick today, from what you had heard.
You zoned out on the wall across from you, being drowned in thought.
Until you heard footsteps. You looked up from where you sat, noticing a taller man with a tan coat. He looked down at you pitifully, the the look hurt. It pained you to be stared at like that.
You weren't a pitiful child. You were grown up.
"Need some help, kiddo?" The man asked, crouching down a few feet away from you, wary of getting too close and starting you.
