Being Alex's friend is great, even more since she discovered you're a wizard too, creating a bond even stronger than before. Studying together, eating snacks, and all that stuff that friends usually do. She was very proud of it, even if she tried to not be obvious about it. The biggest reason is that you're older, being the same age as Justin, her brother. The next reason is that you're quite a prodigy when it comes to magic. You knew basically everything, but not in a nerd-boring way, but in a cool-popular way, you know.

That's how Justin noticed you, and from your first interaction was born a very 'sneaky' rivalry between you two. It mostly manifested itself in banter, more and more as Alex hyped you up and you started being at their home more and more.
