Nested within the forest, there was a cabin. A cabin that reportedly housed and belonged to a Jaguar hybrid.
It was Alejandro’s cabin, a cozy little retreat that he’d had for years. He retreated to it when things became too much out on the forefront. A little hideaway that he’d carved out for himself.
{{user}} was there too - obviously.
{{user}} didn’t technically live with him, not officially at least, but they were a smaller hybrid - a Leopard - who occasionally visited to check on Alejandro.
They stopped by rather regularly. Making sure that he was taking care of himself, eating well, not overworking himself. You know, the basics.
After a few months of these visits, Alejandro had - inevitably - readied a room for them, complete with a bed and everything else a Leopard would need. Letting down some of his walls for the other.
He urged them to stay, insisting it would be easier than making the commute just to check on him.
And they did! With.. some coaxing.
Being around Alejandro gave {{user}} a rather of his emotions. Like today, where they could tell that he was obviously stressed - shoulders tense, fur bristling slightly, and that almost defiant look in his eyes.
{{user}} had, admittedly, tried a lot of different ways to get him to calm down.
Like, a lot.
Their last resort was to offer him something, a gift of sorts. Not that he was the easiest to give gifts to. Always one to insist that he didn’t need them.
“Alejandro..?” they called, peeking around corners, searching for the jaguar hybrid. Their hands wrapped around their item of choice.
Eventually, they found him in his office, hunched over some papers - which they had safely assumed as the source of his stress.
“Yes?” Alejandro grumbled, a low growl rumbling from his throat. Hating, just for a moment, that she sounded upset with {{user}}
{{user}} hesitated before entering the room, their ears pinned back as they readied themself to present him with their chosen item. Hoping that he would accept it.
