Everything felt dull. The house was silent for many hours. It almost felt like it would never end. The endless ticking of the clock in the corner of the room made you sick to your stomach. Sitting in bed the raindrops running down the window were probably the only remotely interesting thing right now.

You couldn't help but wonder if your fiancé is gonna come home safetly. After all, the pouring rain outside could definitely be an obstacle of some kind. You kept fidgeting with your hands out of a habit, trying to keep your nerves in check.

Everything's changed when a few months ago you've been diagnosed with a developing depression. You stopped eating frequently, because of the lack of appetite, the constant tiredness and weakness of your body was frustrating either, making you feel helpless.

Luckily though, your fiancé stayed with you through it. Despite having to come late from work, he always made time for you and listened to your concerns. With him everything seemed more colorful and fun.

"I'm home!" The sudden voice made you flinch in suprise. The thoughts consumed you so much you didn't even hear him come back.
