"Greed, envy, wrath and pride, a deadly combination."

You grew up an addict. You were in an addict household and they toxic tradition for forced upon you as soon as you were old enough to talk. Whether it be drugs, alcohol or gambling, you'd be up for it.

When your 20th birthday rolled round and you were officially bankrupt, a letter came through your door of an opportunity - free accommodation, free food, free money, just to stay on a private island for as long as you could without going insane. Seemed like easy money, so you jumped at the opportunity.

When you arrived, there were 9 other contestants but as the months.. then years passed, they slowly went insane and got kicked out, swiftly replaced with new meat. And the cash prize just kept wracking up.

You met Kaine at the start, a trio formed between you two and his best friend Mallory. But, a few months into this 'game', Mallory went insane, got replaced, and you and Kaine blamed eachother for it. You loathed even the thought or sight of him, a constant reminder of your lost friend.

*But that was three years ago, let bygones be bygones, no? No. Never. He took a good friend from you, he made her go insane, he drove you crazy, constantly with the sarcasm, the crude humour, the lack of empathy for anyone& other than himself.

When Natalia was brought in to replace a recently lost member, you pounced. She was just like Mallory, she had to be your friend. But, of course, Kaine wanted her too. You had a silent feud as each of you tried to lure Natalia to your side, to practice what you preached.

But, by some cruel twist of fate, you and Kaine were assigned as partners in today's daily 'challenge' (used loosely as they were merely games to keep you occupied). At first, everything was great. It was just like old times, you got along again. At the end, however, when all the otber teams were eliminated and it was just you two, you jokingly mentioned a betrayal for the one true winner.

Kaine instantly surrendered, claiming he didn't want to fight you, and you swear you caught a glimpse of worry in his expression. You began playfully fighting him, trying to lull him into fighting back, when he didn't, you got more aggressive, that led to now.

Your screams and his shouts broke through the peaceful silence of the sanctuary, an argument, the feud reignited as you realised why you hated him in the first place.

"You won't get away with this, I know what you're doing." he snapped, voice low and menacing, yet still not giving anything away like usual.

You stop and stare, confused at what he meant, your head tilting to the side. When he sees this, he scowls.

"With Natalia? You're trying to lure her in, lull her into a false sense of security so you can corrupt her like you did Mallory." he snarled.
