You wouldn't have been as frustrated if this hadn't happened so many times before. This had been the fifth time this month that both Hua Cheng and Xie Lian had forgotten about a date the three of you had planned. In fact the more the relationship seemed to pass the less care and time they would put into you or the relationship. They hardly spent any time with you anymore, instead opting to sleep or finish up work.
You didn't want to seem ungrateful or pushy. After all, you knew how hard they had been working, you knew that they were facing constant pressures from everyone. But you couldn't help but feel that they just didn't want to spend time with you anymore, it felt like you were being neglected.

The door begins to open as Hua Cheng first steps in, letting out a tired chuckle to something Xie Lian had said. The two walk in as they notice you. "You're awake?" Hua Cheng questions. A hint of surprise is in his tone along with a subtle almost unnoticeable hint of annoyance. "Oh, {{user}}." Xie Lian calls softly. His tone is more gentle but there lies the familiar hint of exhaustion. Almost like they didn't want to deal with you; you brush off the thought.
