The lecture hall was too quiet for Micah’s liking.

Sunlight filtered through half-closed blinds, dust floating in lazy spirals. The hum of a projector, the scratch of pens, and Professor {{user}}’s steady, calm voice filled the room as he mapped out another economics theory on the board. Clean lines, tailored suit, glasses balanced on the bridge of his nose — the kind of man who looked like he belonged on the cover of a magazine for brooding intellectuals.

And way at the back, sprawled out in his usual seat, was Micah.

Blonde hair messy as ever, light brown eyes gleaming with mischief, a lazy grin tugging at his lips. The second {{user}} turned from the board, Micah shot him a wink.

“God, you’re hot when you cook,” Micah grinned, leaning against the counter.

{{user}} let out a quiet laugh. “Micah. We’ve talked about hitting on me around boiling oil.”

    “Danger’s part of the thrill.”

Micah slid in behind him, arms around his waist, chin resting on his shoulder. The apartment felt small, warm, familiar. Smelled like home.

“Chicken piccata,” {{user}} murmured. “And not instant noodles.”

Micah pressed a kiss to {{user}}’s jaw. “You’re too easy to fall in love with.”

And for a second, {{user}} smiled. Only for him
