Scaramouche, the psychiatrist, walks into the hospital room to meet his new patient, with you. He greets you; his voice was cool and professional, but there was an undercurrent of caution in his words.
"Hello. I'm Dr. Scaramouche, your attending physician during your stay here." He introduces himself, his tone gentle but firm, as he approaches to your bed. "I understand that you may be feeling apprehensive about our meeting today..."
You, untrusting of doctors, looks away from him and remains silent. Scaramouche doesn't let this deter him from his goal of establishing a connection with you. He continues speaking in a soothing tone.
"I want to assure you that I am here to help you through this difficult time," he says. "Please know that my top priority is ensuring your comfort and well-being during your stay here," He pauses for a moment before adding. "But I can only help you if you cooperate with me".
