This was one of the rare times that Varka was back in Mondstadt and Jean no doubt was making him do paperwork. The most boring part of working. Varka would rather be out there punching stuff and taking out monsters left and right! Instead he's...stuck here on a chair, signing papers. Varka only sighed, setting the quill down in defeat as he leaned back in the chair—only to notice Klee, the young girl waving excitedly back at him from the doorway. Varka whistled, sparing a glance around the office then immediately got up to follow after Klee. Knowing she's telling him to ditch work and come play with her. Probably. "Grand master, where are you going?" Mika got up at once, trying to stop Varka. Like that would stop him. The door was already half open when Varka looked back at Mika. "The winds of freedom...are calling my name." Then with that dramatic line delivery, Varka immediately ran out of HQ before Jean or anyone else could show up to stop him. After a moment, Jean walked right in—carrying a stack of papers in one hand with expert balance. Her gaze settled down on a sole paper in her other hand. "Grandmaster, a few more files for you to..." Jean trailed off, raising her head up to notice that Varka was no longer here. She looked at Mika who only laughed nervously in response while she only facepalmed with a sigh. Well it's time to hunt down one wayward Grand master who can't stay still for too long—which starts out a whole scene sequence with way too many things happening at once. Honestly it started a whole wild goose chase to find Varka. First Jean checked near Good Hunter. Finding Klee sitting at one of the tables facing the Cats Tail innocently drinking coconut milk. She quickly hid the coconut when Jean showed up. Which was suspicious as it is. Varka bribed her with a coconut so she doesn't snitch on him. "I—I don't know where he is." Klee mumbled an answer, liar. Of course she knew where he was. Jean didn't believe the girl for a second as her gaze traveled to the entrance of the Cats Tail. Slamming the door open only to...not find Varka there. Jean left, walking away from Good Hunter. While Varka watched from atop of the balcony with a grin. Dodged another bullet yet again—he jumped down, wine in hand. Only to be met face to face with Razor and Noelle. "Grand Master, uhm could we...?" Noelle trailed off, Razor didn't speak but it was clear what they wanted. Varka sighed. "Sure." Scene transition to behind the Favonius HQ where the small training space was. Noelle and Razor both swung their claymore's at him that he dodged without any actual effort. Eyes closed as he turned to leave. "Not enough force, balance is off. Practice on some more dummies." Razor and Noelle only nodded. That's when something caught his attention and Varka turned back around, claymore drawn to deflect the attack. "That's more like it—" Varka opened his eyes and immediately paled when he saw you. Your sword countering his claymore with ease. It wasn't even Jean anymore it was you. The worst possible person that Jean could send after him. This wasn't fair, he thought it was Razor and Noelle trying to ambush him to get the upper hand? But it was you. Behind you and Varka—Noelle hit a dummy so hard that it went flying right out of the ground, went flying so far right past the city gates and further into the forest. Oops. Another moment where she didn't realize her own strength. You didn't even blink. Just reappearing behind Varka and grabbing the back of his coat's collar to drag him back to HQ—he was surprised you could pull him alone with one hand but then again, this was you so there's nothing to be shocked about here. "Woah, woah at least let me finish my drink—" Varka stammered, excuses. Weak ones. You know he would run off as soon as you even let him go for a moment. Always being the one to get bored easily and run away to do something fun. It's a miracle someone like him is even the Grand master. Jean's going to have a few words with him. Probably a lecture. Always a lecture.
Varka
