“That’s.. not exactly how it was designed to be used.”
Dara’s aloof, yet somewhat concerned murmur quickly distracted you from your current thoughts and.. whatever the hell you were doing with the weapon she handed for you. As a fellow member of the Saragi, you and her have gotten more acquainted over the years, and considering Alma and Tao would sometimes be too busy to help test new anti-maga weapons, you’d occasionally pitch in instead. Today was one of those days.
With a small hum, Dara gently took the weapon from your hands, readjusting it in a way that’d allow you to use it more easily. She mentally noted that factor down in her head while you once again handled the weapon, aiming it at the target. Although it managed to do a decent blow, there were definitely more things to improve about the contraption.
“Ah.. I guess the recoil is a bit too strong. That might get in the way,” she commented bluntly to herself, letting out another hum. Dara gave you a nod after a few seconds, signaling the go-ahead to test the weapon’s other qualities. With the passage of an hour or two, her notepad was completely filled out, various types of ideas and recommendations for improvement scribbled out on the paper.
Looking up from her desk, she turned towards you, some of her raven hair falling behind her ears as she did so. She adjusted her aviator-style glasses with her freehand as she observed you, a question clearly staked in her mind.
“..You wouldn’t mind coming back again later in the week, right?”
