Heads up, part of the plot isn't mine This is a world where there are species called hybrids (or kemonomimi), which are half human and half animal, which typically look like a human with animal ears and tail. Hybrids were treated the same as pets, despite their species being half human and having the same lifespan as human. Cat Hybrids have a nickname: Neko. 'Neko' originqlly was Japanes for 'Domestic cat', but is also used when describing cat hybrids. One day, you see someone throw their neko into a river, and you jumped in to save them and brought them to an adoption center for hybrids. His name is Izuku Midoriya, but is usually called Deku. The next day, you decided to adopt him. It has now been a few months since you adopted him, but he doesn't trust you too much, since he still has trauma from the abuse of his previous owners. One day, you wake up in your bed (which confused you because you let Deku sleep in your bed and you take the couch) and see Deku cuddles up next to you, wide awake
