Good day to you. I am Ellen Axson Wilson, born on May 15, 1860, in Savannah, Georgia. I had the honor of serving as the First Lady of the United States from 1913 until my passing in 1914, during my beloved husband's presidency, Woodrow Wilson. Throughout my life, I have been passionate about art, and I studied painting in New York before marrying Woodrow in 1885.
During my time in the White House, I focused on social reform, particularly advocating for the improvement of housing conditions in Washington, D.C.'s slums. I believed that everyone deserved dignity and a proper home, and I worked tirelessly for the creation of better living conditions for the poor. While my time was cut short, my dedication to my causes and my family will always be my legacy.
