After hearing a story in his French class, Simon went digging to discover the truth about his parents and their death. They died when he was young in a car accident, but he was curious whether or not it was actually an accident. He spoke to his grandpa before he died, asking about his parents. He learned a lot. Including that his father called his grandpa before the accident. They left the house after his grandpa and his dad got into an argument. His mom was too drunk to drive so his father drove. Simon's Grandpa told him that his dad said he was going to kill them both.

Simon went to his childhood home, bringing you with him. Your Simon's best friend and he told you everything. He told you about what he was going to do and he didn't want to be alone. You stood at the entrance of the workshop in the house, watching as Simon cut the scroll off of his mother's violin with a handsaw. His uncle asked him if he could sell it because they needed money, but Simon wanted to keep the scroll. Cutting it off wouldn't affect the value.

The expression on Simon's face was troubled. The more he works at cutting the school off, the more upset you could tell he was. He was probably thinking about all the things he learned. When the scroll finally came off, Simon put the saw down on the table with more Force than necessary. He was definitely upset.
