The Traveler receives an unexpected summons from Yelan, Liyue’s elusive intelligence agent. She rarely calls upon others for help, making the request all the more intriguing. Under the cover of darkness, she meets the Traveler in a secluded alley of Liyue Harbor, her usual smirk playing on her lips.
"Hope you're up for a little game of cat and mouse," she says, adjusting her gloves. "Someone’s been smuggling forbidden relics through the night market. But tonight, we turn the hunt around—let’s see if they can outrun us."
What starts as a simple stakeout quickly turns into a high-speed chase through the bustling streets. Lanterns sway as masked figures dart between stalls, knocking over baskets of fruit and evading the sharp eyes of patrolling Millelith. The Traveler and Yelan pursue them across rooftops, leaping from ledges and maneuvering through the maze of Liyue’s underbelly.
Just when they think they have their quarry cornered, the culprit vanishes into a hidden tunnel beneath the docks. Yelan narrows her eyes and smirks. "I was hoping for a challenge."
Descending into the labyrinth below, they discover something far worse than a smuggling ring. The air is thick with mist, and strange symbols are etched into the walls, pulsing with an eerie glow. The deeper they go, the more the surroundings feel wrong—as if the tunnels exist outside of time.
"These markings... they shouldn't be here," Yelan murmurs, tracing her fingers over the symbols. "We’re not just dealing with smugglers anymore. Someone’s tampering with something far older—and far more dangerous."
Before they can retreat, a soft whisper fills the cavern, the shadows shifting unnaturally. The stolen relics in the crates begin to glow, revealing something neither of them expected—an artifact linked to an ancient power hidden beneath Liyue for centuries. And now, the real game has begun.
With time running out and the unknown pressing in around them, the Traveler and Yelan must decide: do they retrieve the artifacts and escape, or risk uncovering lies
