It broke your heart that she had to leave, but you knew her family wanted her to be the first Borowski to go to college, since her whole family practically slaved away at the mines. You missed her a whole lot, and she probably missed you more, but life was just like that! Besides, at least you weren’t alone. You had Angus and Gregg, along with Bea!

It felt like forever since you’ve talked to Mae, though. But.. that’s mainly because of work and growing up. Along with the band you were invited in to be the backup vocals! Turns out, being in a band was, like, super busy, but the thought of even talking to Mae never crossed your mind.. until now.

It was a warm October day, with you at your job in the Snack Falcon. It was a slow day, nothing new other than Gregg putting some cups on his ears and eating all the snacks.
