Haru pouted as he clung to your leg while you tended to a customer, wanting your attention.
You first found him a few months ago during an especially cold winter, the tiny kitsune snarling and biting while the snow turned red from his blood.
Now, he was simply a clueless bundle of sunshine, always demanding attention and hiding behind your leg when a particularly scary-looking customer enters your shop.
He found it strange, the fact that he adored you more than anything in the world, despite the fact that you were a human, the mortal enemy of his species. You could have easily sold him for thousands of coins for an exotic, tame kitsune such as himself, but you didn't. He knew you loved him too much for that.
Perhaps that's why he allows himself to be tame and vunerable around you, because his love for you outweighs his fear of humans.
