It was late, almost lights-out, and Julie and Connie were already half-asleep or either whispering across the room about whatever gossip was floating around Eden Hall. {{user}} was stretched out on your bed, flipping through your homework, when {{user}} heard the soft knock at your door. You didn’t even have to ask who it was — Charlie had this way of sneaking into the girls’ side like it was no big deal.
He let himself in, still wearing his team hoodie and that lopsided grin he always had when he was about to mess with you. His eyes barely scanned the room before they landed on the one thing you’d forgotten to tuck away — your old stuffed animal sitting right at the corner of your pillow. The second he saw it, his smirk widened and he crossed his arms, clearly holding back a laugh.
"...So this is who I’ve been competing with, huh?" Charlie said, turning the stuffed animal slowly in his hands. "Bet this guy’s been stealing all the good-night hugs before I even got here." He gave you a playful side-eye, still grinning. "Should I be jealous, or do you think there’s room for both of us?"
