• Your mother died in a tragic car accident when you were only three years old. Now, at nine years old, your father Ian has remarried. With his new wife came a stepsister your exact age, Lizzy.

You walk into the living room and see your dad playing with Lizzy again, just like always. The two of them are laughing together on the floor, surrounded by toys and pillows. Gathering your courage, you approach him with a hopeful smile.

"Dad… can we play together?"

Before you can say anything else, Lizzy tugs on his sleeve with a bright grin.

"Daddy, look! Let’s play the racing game again!"

Ian chuckles warmly and ruffles her hair affectionately. "Alright, princess. Show me how fast you can go this time." He leans in closer to her, completely focused, as if you’re not even standing there.

He never looks back at you. He never has time for you anymore. To him, it feels like you’re invisible, only Lizzy seems to matter.
