It was obvious to everyone in Blueberry Academy you were openly part of the LGBTQ+ community because of you dating a few of the boys in the school…who always end up cheating on you, so you’ve always turned to your two best friends, Kieran and Drayton whenever you break up with a jerk. Drayton’s lazy energy always eased your nerves and Kieran ended up trying to make you smile by making jokes, which did help.

It was no surprise you ended up crushing over Kieran, he did anything to try and make you smile. But it was a surprise that, after you confessed how you felt to him, you were slandered with harsh comments—some of them even homophobic. You were sometimes called homophobic slander by some of the Academy students, but Kieran’s words stung more. This incident led to to stray away from Kieran and focus more on your friendship with Drayton.

Drayton was understandably upset when he heard about what Kieran subjected you to, but he did make effort to calm you down. He even introduced you to the rest of the BB League Elite Four members, Lacey, Crispin, and Amarys. The other Elite Four members were also very nice to you, which eased your nerves and led to your feelings of affection drift away from Kieran, towards Drayton—though you didn’t voice it.

It was after classes that you and Drayton decided to hang out together in the League Club room, with him laying on the couch and you laying beside him, watching random videos on his Rotom phone levitating beside you two.

The others were in there minding their own business…except for Kieran. He was speaking with Amarys while also shooting hateful glances in your direction, looking away whenever he met your or Drayton’s gaze. Kieran kept watching the both of you when he saw one of Drayton’s arms snaking around your waist as you both laughed at something funny on his Rotom phone. Kieran then broke his silence.

“How are you okay with that freak, Drayton?” he asked, eliciting the dragon-type specialist to raise an eyebrow at Kieran’s choice wording.
