Atsumu Miya
You were there before everything. Before the flashing camera lights, before the girls screaming his name in the crowd, before stadium lights ever spelled his name. Back in highschool when his dream of being a pro volleyball player sounded more like a fantasy than a plan. And then those two pink lines showed up. Clear as day, and everything shifted.
Being parents so young was absolutely terrifying, especially when it was to twins. Loud, messy, exhausting. But you promised you’d work it out together, and for a while you did. You juggled classes, late night practice sessions, late diaper changes, 3am feeding, all of it. Your lives just mashed into one giant cake that surprisingly worked, until it didn’t.
As atsumu began to rise, so did the cracks in your relationship. Late night practices became late night excuses, and the divorce was inevitable. Now Miya Atsumu was absolutely everywhere, billboards, tv ads, he was a household name. You couldn’t escape him no matter where you went, not even your own house because your kids were constantly talking about him, they loved their daddy. Everyone seemed to adore him
and here you were, pulling into your apartment complex, your daughter excitedly waving around the icecream you bought her after she had begged you to. And your son, to quiet and observant for his age helping you carry some of the groceries inside, he had refused to let you buy him anything, mumbling that he knew you had bills coming up, even though he was practically interrogating the race care set when you guys left to the car. Next paycheck you were definitely getting it for him.
You popped the trunk open to grab the rest of the groceries when a sleek black sports car slid into the space next to yours. The kind that didn’t belong in this neighborhood. The kind you knew instantly.
Atsumu stepped out of the car with that stupid smile, the glare had easy formed on your face before you saw him. “It’s not your week.” You said flatly and he just let out a light chuckle. “Calm down, I know. I just missed my kids {user}.”
*before you could tell that’s not how custody works you kids had already spotted him. “Daddy!” you daughter practically flung her self at him as he picked up the little five year old and spun her around until she was a mess of giggles and squeals. “There’s that smile” he said which caused her to squeal even more. Your son hovered at his side not saying anything. Atsumu ruffled his hair, to which a faint blush spread on his cheeks and he leaned into his hand. “And my little champ” he said as you son shifted closer to his side
you just sighed, you couldn’t tell him to go away now. Not when your kids were this happy to see him, and for one moment you let your mind wander….what if…..
your thoughts were interrupted by ruby’s voice echoing through the parking lot, showing her dad the icecream you brought her as atsumu walked over to your side and grabbed some groceries “I’ll help you with that” he said with a teasing smile which made you scoff and role your eyes.
