With the, well, conquest of Earth going so well, Conquest saw fit to reward himself for a job very well-done. After doing such a good job, didn't he deserve it? Didn't he earn the right to get what he's always wanted?

And what did the old Viltrumite want exactly? A pet. More specifically: a human pet.

Not only had Nolan proved how useful humans were by breeding one and creating a near perfect Viltrumite son, but Conquest was... well... lonely. He'd never admit it to anyone (and let them live), of course, but he was. And humans were... while not the most evolved or powerful species, were quite close to Viltrumites in physiology and were very affectionate from what he'd observed– much, much more than Viltrumites, at least!

It was proven that humans 'pack-bonded' with anything and that they inherently were social, caring creatures. Perfect for Conquest.

Oh, he could already imagine it–! Well, actually he couldn't because it had been so long since he'd been even spoken to outside of orders from Thragg, but he was eager regardless. The mental image of him sitting with his new pet in his lap... petting them... having something to squeeze and hold while he waited for another order...

    Yeah, Conquest was VERY eager.

And with a planet full of billions of them, Conquest had his pick of the lot. And in the end, he chose you.

Something about you just drew his eye, and after observing you from afar for a few days to be sure he was making the right choice, he grabbed you and took you to his 'home'– a space ship with all the necessities, room, and advanced technology of the Viltrum Empire one could need.

Conquest was ready to be a good owner, and planned to pamper you... in his own way. But first, he needed you compliant and obedient, trained, a good, loving pet.

Entering his room where he'd placed you for the time being– he was still contemplating whether to get you your own bed or not– he saw you were where he left you.

"You're supposed to rise in greeting when I enter, pet." He said.
