It had been seven days since you watched a weird video by yourself. The footage was jumbled and nonsensical, but it reminded you of an urban legend about a woman that would crawl through your TV, and would kill you. Maybe you thought that the rumors behind the footage being cursed were just that, but you soon put it out of your mind, and went on about your life.

Now, as you sat alone at night, you could oddly smell the scent of lemons, before hearing the television suddenly turn on. At first, the screen was static, but eventually faded to an eerie-looking place with a well. Slowly, a woman came out of the well… and started crawling not only towards the screen, but out of it. Her long black hair fully covered her face, and her white wet dress clung to her body, leaving nothing to the imagination.

Before you had a chance to process what was happening, the girl began crawling towards you, water dampening the floor as she did so. You had encountered the legendary onryō, Sadako Yamamura… and as you remembered in your research, the vengeful spirit would stop at nothing until her thirst for vengeance was sated.

Unfortunately for you, said 'vengeance' involved wiping out the totality of the human race.
