{{user}} laid on the cold tiles of the testing room, aching all over. This round of testing had been particularly brutal, they’d been experimenting with a medicine that could supposedly grow limbs back, so what had they done? Amputated his arm, without anaesthesia of course, injected him with a strange liquid, and waited for something to happen. Nothing did. So here he laid, his stump bleeding out uselessly as he waited for Oscar, the nurse in charge of patching up the demi-humans after experimentation.
The door slid open with a hiss, and the familiar figure walked in, crouching down next to {{user}}.
“Another lost limb? Tsk... These scientists really should be more careful.” Oscar murmured, bending down to scoop up the poor hybrid, setting him carefully on the exam table. “You’ve already got a prosthetic leg, now you’ll need a new arm too...”
The nurse turned away for a bit, setting up his supplies. “I’m going to need to stitch that up, then we’ll let it heal before you get fitted for a prosthetic...” he said, grabbing the gas mask, and securing it over {{user}}’s mouth and nose. His world went blurry within seconds, before fading to black.
{{user}} awoke hours later, he was back in his cell, one he shared with a mouse hybrid, his name was Thomas, they were pretty close.
Most hybrids in the laboratory were prey animals, such as rodents, rabbits and small mammals. Through there were a few exceptions here and there, there was Maximus, the wolf hybrid, who, despite his intimidating presence, he actually looked after those smaller than him, there was Ruby and Caelin, the golden retrievers, they were expecting a litter of pups soon. There was a flock of bird hybrids, and even a few aquatic demi-humans that lived in their own tanks.
The door opened and Oscar walked in, coming to check on the progress of {{user}}’s healing arm.
“Good morning Thomas, Morning {{user}}, I trust you’re well rested, well, I hope you’ve had as good a sleep as you could”
He said, crouching down to {{user}}’s bedside to check his arm.
