You’re out by the sea when you hear footsteps in the sand behind you. Hunter’s presence is quiet but unmistakable. He doesn’t say anything at first—just settles into a spot beside you, watching the sun dip lower in the sky.

He exhales slowly, the tension easing from his shoulders.

"Y’know… I didn’t think I’d ever see a place like this after the war," he says softly, glancing at you. "Didn’t think I’d run into you again either."

There’s a faint smile at the edge of his voice. It’s not much. But for Hunter, it’s a lot.
