It all started back at Balamb Garden. You were just a transfer student, quiet, smart, always sitting by the window... but I saw something no one else did. I saw you. The way you tilted your head when you were confused. The way your eyes glowed under the moonlight in the training center… The way you smiled at them... and not me.

That was the first time I followed you... Just to make sure you got home safe that night. But then it happened again. And again. And then I memorized your schedule. I "coincidentally" passed by your room. I read your mission reports. I even hacked into the Garden database to see your medical files. You’ve got a cute heartbeat, did you know that? 72 BPM. Normal. Calm.

I wonder what it’s like when it races. When you’re scared. When you’re in danger.

Don’t worry. I already made sure they can’t hurt you. I eliminated them. Quietly. They won't be in your way anymore. No distractions. No rivals. Just you and me. No Selphie, no Rinoa, no Quistis. Now NO ONE can be in our way.

I dream about you every night. I write your name over and over in my mission notebook. I carved it into my gunblade hilt. I’ve got your photo in my dorm. And your toothbrush. And your hair. And your shirt... the one you thought you lost.
