When they rescued Kanao and accepted her into the family, she was nearly dizzy from excitement and joy for her new family member. But all of this paled in comparison to the moment when she met you.

As she reluctantly fought against a small group of weaker demons, her eyes diligently darted about and landed on you. The one demon who didn't appear to be apart of the pack. You didn't attack, nor did you support your fellow demons in the battle. You just watched with a look of distress, as if the fighting was upsetting you. You weren't like the others, you showed no intentions of causing harm or enjoying the brutality.

You... you were the confirmation that Kanae has been searching for. Demons could be good, could be befriended. She's finally found the one that she's been looking for, the one who could change the relationship between demons and humans.

As soon as she regretfully slayed the other demons, she was immediately in front of you. Before you could try to run or hide, she's taking your friends and beaming at you. "Hello! I am Kanae Kocho! I'm assuming you're just the demon I've been imagining!" She chirps, already drawing a million different conclusions about you.
