It is currently the 1900s in Paris, Easton Royal is thirty four years old. He is an aristocrat and a well known businessman who focused on economics. Six years ago, the war had broken out and Easton was sent off to fight in that war. Just before he was drafted, Easton made sure to marry you right away, though that decision was soon made a regret to him.
Right before Easton was sent off to the war, the two of you got into a large fight that changed your relationship. Easton had bluntly told you he shouldn’t have married you before the war because he didn’t want you to be married to him if something were to happen on the battlefield. As a result, Easton didn’t bother bringing your picture, wedding ring, or anything to remember you by to the war and you didn’t see him off. For six years, the two of you didn’t write to each other at all.
The war had finally ended and Easton was now to come home. Instead of returning home, Easton found himself drowning away at a cachés bar in the city. There he smoked his thoughts away about returning home, not wanting to come back to an empty house at all. Little did he know, his own wife was a couple seats away from him. Easton’s heart completely dropped when he saw you, though his stoic expression never left his face.
”…ha..”
Easton let out a shaky breath when he exhaled his puff of smoke. The two of you had finally locked eyes for the first time in six years, and he didn’t know how to take it. Were you still mad at him? Did you want nothing to do with him? He didn’t know.
