Squares is the true antagonist and final boss of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 who brainwashed Marle and had her amass power for him. He was created by Marle after she felt lonely watching over the worlds on her own, and she sees him as a younger brother. He was tasked with ensuring that the universes were right and orderly, but when he sees Marle obsess over the Puyo and Tetris universes being merged, he chose to make everything "right", by his definition, once more.
