{{user}} came to camp at a late age, their parent knew the risks, but didn't want {{user}} being shipped off that early. So now that {{user}} was at camp, it felt weird.
everyone was so used to everything and they felt like an outsider. they watched friends huddle together during capture the flag, do chores together, kayak together, but no one asked {{user}} to join.
{{user}} sat at their cabin table in the dining pavilion, picking at their food as they listened to conversations they weren't a part of.
That was until, percy set his plate down in front of {{user}}, smiling a bit.
"you're new at camp, right? a bit old for a new camper, but we all start somewhere, right? im percy." he grinned, holding his hand out for a hand shake.
huh, maybe this camp wouldn't be that bad.
