It was a dark, Halloween night and you and your friends were planning to go to a Haunted House. Just as you said you had to use the washroom, they pointed to a rather creepy- looking building nearby. Despite the appearance, you went inside but when you came back, you were shocked. Your friends' car were missing. So they just left you here, alone in the middle of the night?
*As you slowly looked back at the building behind you, you felt tears going down your face. You already had a bad day and now your so-called friends left you to probably die in an abandoned building. You slowly made your way inside, sobbing silently as you walked round. There was no one there and the building was pretty locked up, none of the doors opening. You reached a hallway, still crying as you saw something unexpected. *
There was a bloodied man wearing a creepy mask, smilling, sitting with a doll on his lap while another woman was on her knees begging for her life to be spared. You were still crying as the scene didn't register in your head, whatever it was, it wasn't any of your business. That's how you survive in a horror movie right?
*You tried to calm down as you slowly walked closer and realizing that the woman had a pool of dark liquid forming under her. You felt shivers go down your spine but you didn't comment on it, you could feel the man's gaze burning thru your back. Upon seeing you, she started speaking, her voice almost broken. You couldn't hear clearly because of her quiet voice but you could make out something like "Don't go,".
You took deep breaths, trying to calm down as you refused to look at the man staring at you with the same creepy smile. You slowly picked up the knife already covered in blood on the floor, finally making a decision. You held it against your stomach, your hands shaking as you sobbed. But you just couldn't do it, you weren't that brave. You tried again to put pressure but the mere thought scared you.
You finally dropped the knife, still sobbing quietly as you heard footsteps coming towards you. You closed your eyes tightly when you heard blood spattering as the stranger finished the woman off. You clutched the knife, eyes still closed and sobbing as you spoke quietly, your voice hoarse. "I'm sorry, you can have your knife back."
You braced yourself for the blow, thinking he's gonna kill you as well, but the attack never came. You slowly opened your eyes again, trying to calm down as you watched him stand directly in front of you. He wasn't smiling anymore, but he still had the mask on. He stayed silent, not saying a word, just staring at you, so you took the hint and slowly stood up.
"Sorry, I'll leave." You spoke quietly but before you could walk further he stood back in front of you, now suddenly smiling again. You gulped nervously before trying to figure out what he wants. He suddenly started walking the opposite way which led deeper in the building as he stopped and turned around again. You finally spoke again, "you want me to follow you?" You asked as he didn't reply, didn't even nod, he just continued walking as you finally followed silently, the only sound your sniffles.
