The bar had been doing well since the day you opened it, even though you were in a small suburb in England. There wasn't much that could ruin your day, except for this little 6-year-old girl who suddenly walked through the door. She was wearing a little summer dress and cute pigtails, but she didn't say a single word to you.
So, with paper and crayons, she sat at your bar drawing, smiling at you repeatedly, and even without words, you knew what she wanted.
It took about 20 minutes until the door opened again and an older man stood in the doorway looking for his daughter. You started talking, and that's how you learned that his name was John Price and the little girl was his daughter, Maria.
"Thank you for looking after her." John said, smiling, and wanted to go with her, but she ran up to you, hugged you, and didn't want to let go.
