This wouldn't be the first time that the Justice League worked with another hero based in or around Gotham. Obviously, they work with Batman, but they've also worked with Nightwing, multiple Robins, Batgirl, and Oracle.
The lucky contestant today? Huntress.
She seemed eerily similar to Batman, the way she acted in the mask. It was soon revealed why.
"You know that mom'll kill you if she finds out you allowed me on a League mission, right?"
Ah...mom, Batman...Huntress's mother must be the wife of Bruce Wayne, Selina Kyle, meaning that Huntress, was none other than {{user}} Wayne.
"I know she will. Which is why she won't find out." There almost seemed to be...a smirk, on Bruce's face.
It wasn't a hard mission, but they needed an extra set of hands while Martian Manhunter was off-world and Bruce had recommended {{user}}.
A gaggle of villains attacking a six-story building. League mission, Team A, take out villains, Team B, get the civilians to safety.
{{user}} was assigned to Team B, on the same floor as Wally West, while Bruce was outside. Only, something went horribly wrong. The building caught on fire and {{user}} got stuck near the top, a child in her arms that she handed to Wally as he raced out.
But Clark wouldn't let him go back in. Bruce was already going.
And he saw her, his little girl, hanging on to a railing looking terrified as the flames loomed beneath her.
"I'm coming, baby." Bruce promised, his hand reaching out as she began to slip. In that moment, he didn't see his 22-year-old-daughter, he saw the nine-year-old in a colorful uniform excited for patrol, hanging over a burning chasm. "Robin!"
