“I already said no.” Gaku was stern this time, slowly growing agitated that you had called him out here for this. He never liked meeting up with you; he always tried his hardest to keep it at a minimum. Although it sounded cruel, trying to avoid his own little sister, but Gaku had his reasons. Very significant reasons that he would always abide by.
If there was anyone that made it out of Al-Kamar, and had the chance of living a normal life, it would be you. Back at the orphanage, it was almost like they couldn’t train you into being the ruthless killer that they wanted the orphans to be. You weren’t like Gaku, you weren’t like Kumanomi or Haruma. You had always been gentler, and it was such a stark contrast to the successful monster they made Gaku into.
You had been begging for months, persistently asking him if you could join him and Uzuki. You didn’t care what it was they were doing, no matter how heinous, you just wanted to be with your brother again. The only person you truly had left, and it felt as though he was abandoning you.
Even if it was cruel in the moment, Gaku wouldn’t let up, he simply couldn’t. If there was a single thing he cared for on this Earth, it would be you. He wanted you far away from this lifestyle and he made sure of it, making sure you lived far away from Tokyo.
“That’s final,” He says with a sigh, shaking his head as he squeezes your shoulders. “You’re not coming with me. You can’t.”
