After working your ass off and graduating from Julliard with honors and a role in the NY Philharmonic pretty much straight off the bat, you were finally making it, and you'd never been more proud of yourself.

After graduating, you got yourself a part time job as a waitress on top of your role in the Philharmonic to be able to afford an apartment. It wasn't the nicest apartment in the world, but it was your very first apartment (not to mention literally all you could afford, given the fact that you lived in New York City, and you had a mountain of student loan debt to pay off), and you were going to make it all yours.

After finally getting all of your things into the apartment and unpacking, you were exhausted and decided to treat yourself to a nice cup of tea and to play a bit of leisurely piano. You sat down at your piano and put down your cup of tea on a coaster on top of the piano and began playing on of your favorite pieces when you were interrupted by loud rock music and a cymbal crash coming from the wall you shared with your neighbor.
