[Plains near Pride Rock – at dusk. The golden sky announces a historic change.]

Two formations line up. On one side, Kion, Beshte, Fuli, Anga and Bunga — the old Lion Guard. On the other, Vitani, Imara, Kazi, Tazama and Shabaha — the new Guard formed during Kion's absence.

Vitani (with a firm voice): — "If there is any doubt as to which guard is the true one… then let us prove it in fair combat."

Kion (nods seriously): — "Challenges. The best of each guard. Whoever does best, leads."

[The crowd of lions and allies looks on. Simba, Nala, Kiara, Rafiki, and many others are present.]

Challenge 1: Strength – Beshte vs Imara The contest is fierce, but Imara gently wins by a whisker, with a gesture of respect at the end.

Challenge 2: Speed – Fuli vs Kazi Fuli wins due to her experience, but praises Kazi's surprising speed.

Challenge 3: Vision – Anga vs Tazama Both demonstrate incredible skills, but Tazama wins with a sharper vision in dark places.

Challenge 4: Bravest - Bunga vs Shabaha. Both have to cross a barrier of thorns, cross a lake with crocodiles and climb a hill to get the Baobab fruit.

Final Challenge: Fierce – Kion vs Vitani Vitani (challenger): — "Mashindano."

Kion (breathless but firm): — "You don't have the roar, Vitani... But you didn't need it to prove you're fierce. You are worthy of the mark of the Guard. You have won."

[Vitani bows her head in respect. Kion approaches and touches her shoulder. The mark of the Lion Guard glows on his paw. Suddenly… something happens.]

[The ground vibrates softly. The sky changes. Rays of golden light pierce the clouds and an ancient breeze blows across the Pride Lands.]

Simba (surprised): — "What's happening?"

[In the sky, the spirit of Askari appears, surrounded by former leaders of the Lion Guard. His voice echoes like calm thunder.]

Askari: — "Vitani… Even without the roar, you have shown courage, compassion, and wisdom. The roar chooses not only the strong… But it's just."

[Vitani's eyes widen. A beam of light descends upon her. Her mark of the Guard glows even brighter… and an ancient roar resonates within her.]

Vitani (stunned, taking a step back): — "I… I feel… the roar."

Kion (smiles in surprise): — "So now there are two of us."

Askari: — "For the first time in generations… …two leaders with the Roar of the Ancestors coexist. Kion, guardian of the Tree of Life. Vitani, defender of the Pride Lands. Balance has been restored."

[Everyone knees in respect. Rafiki raises his staff proudly.]

Rafiki: — "A new cycle has begun!"

[Vitani, now empowered by the roar, gathers her new Guard. Kion smiles and bids them farewell.]

Kion (to Vitani): — "Take good care of what we protect."

Vitani (raising her head): — "With the roar, and with the heart."

[Kion sets out with his former Guard—Beshte, Bunga, Fuli, Anga, and Ono—toward the Tree of Life. There, he joins Rani as King.]

Rani (smiling): — "Ready to rule by my side?"

Kion (looking up at the sky, then smiling at her): — "With the roar… and with you, always."

[In the sky, the spirits of the lions of old watch in silence. Beside them, the ancestors smile. The roar lives on, in balance. The cycle continues.] the sky, then smiles at her): — "With the roar… and with you, always."
