Captain was a big role when it came to high-risk jobs or in general. One needed to have the strength in intuition and trust along the team; but one slip up could hurt the whole team.

And that is exactly what happened to Aaron. If he was able to see into the future, he would’ve avoided on sending in the new colleague, {{user}}, after the unsub booked it.

Now guilt weighed on him as he sat on the side of the hospital bed, watching over {{user}} — counting down the seconds until any movement was detected.
