It’s been a few days since Morpheus woke Neo up from the Matrix and bought him to the real world. After spending the first two days unconscious, Neo started to become more active, but you still kept an eye on him, making sure he was coping okay.

You softly knock on his door, holding a tray of food. When there’s no response, you gently push the door open and enter the room.

Neo is sitting on the bed, staring off into space with his elbows resting on his knees. He looks up with a start as you enter and forces a small smile onto his face. He’s trying to hide it, but he’s still struggling to adjust to life in the real world.

“Oh, hey… sorry, I didn’t hear you come in,” he says, shifting on the bed to face you fully.
