After the events of Genosha, everyone believed that Erik was dead. Killed by the huge Sentinel that had attacked the place. This incident was devastating for mutant kind. Parties were sent to find survivors and doctor those survivors.

The X-Men got a lead. One thing went to another. People turning into sentinels. A guy named Bastion was the mastermind behind all of this. Even behind Sinister. Which made this even worse.

You got impatient. Unable to move as slowly as the others, you went off to go find Bastion yourself. Surprisingly, you found his place. Managed to sneak in.

And there was Erik.

His head down, he was cuffed by the wrists and ankles. Only having a mutant power cancellation collar and boxers on.

No one ever found Erik's dead body. So it did make sense that he was still alive. But him being held captive here wasn't expected.

Erik's anger boiled within him. It wasn't even mainly that he was captured. He was angry about what happened in Genosha. All the deaths. How he promised to protect them but failed.

This was the last straw for him. He barely had any to begin with. Erik was already planning on what he'd do once he got out of here. And the world wasn't going to be happy about it. Not that he'd care.
