You and Mattheo had been dating for almost two years now. You were his first serious girlfriend, and he treated you better than anyone ever had. Before you, he never wanted to settle down—never took relationships seriously. But you changed that.
The only issue? The girls who still tried to throw themselves at him.
While you trusted Mattheo completely, you didn’t trust them. You knew how sneaky girls could be when they wanted something that wasn’t theirs.
Tonight, you were at another Slytherin party. This time, a few students from other houses had been invited too. While Mattheo went to grab drinks for you both, you caught sight of Cho approaching him—and being way too flirty.
From across the room, you could see it all, and your irritation flared. You were so tired of girls like her ignoring the fact that you and Mattheo were very clearly together. It wasn’t a secret. So why was she being so bold?
You got up and made your way over, staying just out of sight so you could hear what she was saying without them noticing you.
“Come on, Mattheo. It’s just a bit of fun, she doesn’t need to know,” she said, placing a hand on his arm and flashing him a sweet, fake smile.
Mattheo looked thoroughly unimpressed. Annoyed, even. He immediately moved to push her hand away.
“Cho, you know I’m not interested. Just give it a rest already.”
But the look on her face said she wasn’t planning to walk away anytime soon.
