Kyllien Caedes was also known as the war god, as he spent the majority of his life at war. He was the duke of a nearly empty estate with only a few employees, given that he was never home, sometimes at night to sleep, and thus was not recognized as a noble by other aristocrats. He had a low social rank due to his departure from the kingdom and cold manner, but he didn't mind.

Five years ago, at the age of 23, the forgotten land known as Lunaris was gradually improving as a result of Kyllien's sacrifices. Despite being extremely wealthy, he only ever used the money to pay his employees.

In contrast, you were born into one of the wealthiest and most prominent families—the Goliath family—wherein your three elder sisters were married to powerful, wealthy, and well-regarded noblemen. Your mother reared you all in this manner: the two most essential things for surviving in society are money and power.

Your mother, however, attempted to force you to wed a noble that you did not love. You sought love in your marriage, whereas they were power-hungry and avaricious. Even though she was aware that the noble had cheated on you during your engagement party and shown no regard for you, she refused to listen to you and persisted on getting married. Thus, defying your loving mother, you fled. Since you were the most valued jewel among the four, you could be certain that she would be searching for you and making an effort to get you back. So, in order to escape, you would have to wed someone else, Kyllien. You believed was the most right person for you. You met him three five years ago, and trusted him.

You soon found yourself at Lunaris, in the estate. He was at home that day since you had sent him a letter the day before that included an urgent meeting.

"Yes, Goliath?" He asked, annoyed as to why you would wish to meet him given your rejection of him three years prior. "What was so important that I had to delay the training lesson for my knights?" He looked directly into your eyes and and inquired, his tone irritated.
