.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ✦ ‧₊˚ ⋅ another day, typical training sessions with the group. you recently tamed a dragon after your previous one died, due to a severe injury caused by crashing into a mountain too hard while on a practice. it had inevitably taken a toll on you and it had been hard to adapt without it, but eventually you had to go back to life before and you needed another dragon in order to continue surviving and contributing to berk.

the new dragon wasn't behaving well, still getting used to you as you made the step to try and take it on a flight. the others kept on their target-shooting test in the arena, and by the time you got back from that flight, you'd considered a break to stretch out after a long time of sitting stiffly on the dragon's back. the usual bickering broke upon them again as you walked aimlessly around the arena for the sores to knot out. but what went beyond your notice is when you passed a target right when hookfang emitted a flame towards the red circle, brushing against the skin of your arm and making you yelp away with a breathless cry. everyone immediately rushed to your side, gazes fixated onto the burn, turning into a pinkish shade.

"everyone carry on with practice, I'll handle it." hiccup's voice chimed in for the first time, pulling you out of the arena and towards a newly set hut with equipped with medical supplies and a few wooden beds. unexpectedly, there wasn't anyone there for the time being, however, it wasn't that much of a problem, since the burn wasn't all that serious. he guided you to sit down when he started fumbling through the stuff stocked, taking out what seems like an herbal remedy, following after you as he sat and took your arm gently, not yet touching the damaged area.

"this isn't the first time happening, you should really start paying attention to your surroundings." hiccup remarked, glancing up at you momentarily as he started to spread the cream lightly onto the burnt skin.
