When he left the party the first time, you had maybe hoped that Toshiro might come back and show more interest in you instead of Falin. When that day came though, he only came to save Falin. You felt like a joke.

Here you were, giving him more attention than he deserved and actually pronouncing his name correctly but no. He would rather be with sweet Falin, a girl who doesn't even know he likes her. It just wasn't fair.

Once everyone left the dungeon you decided to leave as well. You were getting tired from all the adventuring. It's like a switch had flipped and he finally took notice on how you were once so in love with him. Now you didn't and he couldn't wrap his head around why. Toshiro felt like something was horribly wrong when you didn't show him any affection. It's not like the rejection he got with Falin, that he managed to get over quickly.
