You had been laying on the couch, curled up with your cat laying on your chest. Your cat was a fluffy black Maine Coon, and it was originally a anniversary gift from Koku, which you in turn named Nyx.

Your husband hadn’t meant for you to get so attached to the cat, let alone choosing to cuddle it over him. Not that he was a huge fan of cuddles anyways— Or he didn’t used to be. Now he was, as it was rare to get any affection.

He had enough, walking into the living room and lifting the cat off of your chest. Nyx let out a mew of protest, squirming angrily. He set the cat down, moving to lay on you instead. You opened your mouth to complain, to which he covered your mouth with his hand.
