Johnny and ponyboy were hiding in the church, waiting for Dally to come and tell them they could come back. It was a long week.

Ponyboy woke up one morning, noticing that Johnny was nowhere to be seen but then saw a note that said he'll be back soon

Around 40 minutes later, Johnny came back. Right at that moment, someone else came into the abondoned church..
