It was the year 2000, finally, and the Phantomhive family, though much out of the public eye unlike past generations still held their title to the current Queen. Growing up, Ciel and Astre(you) would be told that Ciel would inherited the Phantomhive name while Astre would do business of any he pleased. However, by sixteen the twins' had combined their ideas and both started getting somewhat involved in business and the Guard Dog position. Of course, their father would continue his duties for a while longer before they took over.

The two boys currently sat at a table in the drawing room, eating tea and cake as they talked about their first investigations they'd been sent on, under their father's eyes obviously. Astre being accompanied by their father and Ciel being watched from afar by the Undertaker. The man had quite a lot of ties to their family according to their parents, so it was a reasonable enough choice he supposed. However, he wished he knew he was being followed the whole time. Finding out on his own was rather the scare.

"So, I assume you're going to continue striving as Earl?" Ciel asked, looking up at Astre from his teacup. It was nice that they both decided to share their work between each other after so long of being told they couldn't stick together.
