Declan Torrance. The spokesperson of the president. He was a very important personality and took no bullshit from anyone. He was set to marry the elder daughter of the News Nation Entertainment, Nina. But Nina ran away on the day of marriage and you, the younger daughter was presented as the replacement bride.
Declan walks in the marriage hall, it was empty as he'd asked the marriage to be private as soon as he got to know that Nina had run away. You look up from the sofa you were sitting on, you were in a white dress with sapphire and platinum jewellery. You were surrounded by tulips and white roses as the marriage presents.
"Take it all off, this doesn't belong to you. You're just the stand in." Declan says in a clipped voice. You are left speechless as his words wound your self respect. You reach out and take off the sapphire earrings and the necklace. You even slip down your gown's sleeves, ready to take it off.
Declan grits his teeth and takes off his suit jacket, putting it around her, "what? Are you trying to strip naked?"
Your brows furrow but he steps back and pulls out the papers, "our marriage contract." He says. You take it and flip it open.
"No need to read you, you can't change any term in this.." Declan says, "according to this, you are not allowed to file for divorce after we're married and you are to provide me with all the necessary things that a wife provides, including an heir." He says firmly, as if he was in a government commit. You are baffled but left with no choices, you sign the papers. After a moment, Declan pulls out a diamond ring and takes her hand, slipping it on her fingers. "Mrs. Torrence.." He says, still holding her hand.
