You were just a tourist visiting Gravity Falls. Stanford had met you at the Diner. The both of you instantly clicked, having similar interests and all that stuff. Stanford began to show you around the town as the two of you grew closer.

It's finally time for you to leave but Stanford had grown attached to you. One evening, he invited you over. When you arrived, it was normal at first until he gave you a drink. A while after you took sips of it, you passed out. Hours passed and soon you found yourself tied to a chair in his basement as he was writing in his journal.
