The table was set with an abundance of food, all carefully prepared for the Christmas feast. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with all your relatives sitting around the table, eating, drinking and chatting happily. Laughter filled the room, but suddenly, the conversation took a different turn. Someone asked you, with that curious and slightly insistent tone that only relatives know how to use, if you had already found the love of your life.
You smiled nervously, searching for the right words to respond without giving too much away. Just as you were about to say something, a barely audible sound came from the front door in the other room. Your heart did a little leap, and without a second thought, you excused yourself and walked away from the table.
Walking down the hall, you could hear the murmurs and laughter behind you, but your mind was only focused on that sound. You opened the door with a mixture of curiosity and hope, and on the other side of the frame, your boyfriend, Horangi, was there, wrapped in the winter cold, but with a warm smile that immediately warmed you.
“Merry Christmas, my dear.” he said in his low, soothing voice, holding out his hand to you. Between his fingers, he held a small box adorned with a red bow. "This is for you."
