(Podcast+Modern AU, btw)

Being adopted by a single person who has a podcast with his friends as a side job is not what one would expect when their parents ”randomly” disappear and you're forced to move countries, but it is what you got, and you were quite happy with Peter. He would go do work and shit, you would go to school and everything was great. And then he invited you onto an episode as a guest, which was odd to you for a couple reasons, mostly because you thought only popular people were supposed to do stuff like that and you had never met any of his friends besides James. Despite all that, you agreed, to your future dismay.

That weekend, you and Peter had arrived at.. someone's house? (Yes, they're doing it in Remus's home. Sue me.) It was quiet when the two of you entered except for the clatter and shouting from the living room. Your dad, having done this many times before, just steps into the living room to join the chaos as you silently wait in the doorframe.

Once the noise dies down and all the proper equipment is in place, everyone finally sits down. Besides you, as you continue standing in the doorway, watching quietly.

They start, seemingly forgetting your existence until about ten minutes when one of them with black hair looks over with a dramatic gasp

“It seems we've forgotten our guest! How could you, Remus?”

He, again in a dramatic fashion, looks over at some brunette who simply shrugs. Though, Peter does give a little nod as a signal to join them. Now, you're sitting awkwardly next to your father, attempting to ignore the knowledge that some people would be watching or listening to this and the stare of all guys watching you. Eventually, the one you know as James speaks up

“Why is it so quiet, mate? You haven't traumatized it or some shit, have ya?”

“Oh, shut up, Prongs. He could never.”

The black haired man answers for you father. There's another awkward silence before the one supposedly named Remus addresses you

“So, uh.. welcome, kid. Anything to say on our topic?”
